🌄 Cedar Knob Trailhead Contributor Series
Help Build the Trail. Leave Your Legacy.
Cedar Knob rises 4,109′ in Sugarfork, an iconic Appalachian peak now partially protected under the stewardship of the Highlands-Cashiers Land Trust. Of the approximately 150 acres that define this rugged landmark, 110 acres are now permanently conserved—ensuring that its wild beauty and ecological value are safeguarded for generations to come.
At Walnut Hills, we’re building a public-to-private trail system up the face of Cedar Knob, starting from our community at the base and climbing all the way to the summit ridge. This trail will integrate hiking access, a disc golf course, and land-based learning stations, blending recreation, education, and preservation.
Every reward in the Trailhead Contributor Series helps fund the vision—through signage, labor, tools, benches, bridges, and the sweat equity it takes to open up the mountain, mindfully. Whether you chip in $3 or sponsor a firepit, you’re part of something permanent.
